Last month I announced on my instagram that I am expecting a new bundle of joy this winter! I could not be more thrilled to experience pregnancy again, and having the littles finally in on the suprise makes everything that much more memorable! I wanted to thank you all for the kind messages, you are all amazing and know how to make a preggo mama feel special! I have had a good amount of questions come in, so I will be responding to some of the most popular ones I recieved here. How are you feeling?
Feeling great! I was a little nauseous throughout the first trimester which was similar to my pregnancy with Felix, that fortunately has passed. With each of my pregnancies I have had SI joint issues, that is really the only thing I am dealing with that makes things tricky. I currently go to physical therapy for it, and in the past a month or two after delivery it has gone away (hoping that is the same this time around).
When are you due?
Early Janurary, so crazy to think I could have the baby in 2019 or 2020!
Will you be finding out the sex?
We will not be finding out the sex this time around. For Elin and Felix we did, so this will be such an exciting experience! The kids think the baby is a girl, Drew went from thinking boy, then girl for a while, now back to boy. I have had a feeling it is a girl from the beginning but could be completely off, we shall see!
Are the kids excited?
That would be an understatement, they are ecstatic! They have the most adorable, sweet questions/comments, and just as many that are absolutely hysterical (see my instagram post from the other day for a few of them)! They are constantly rubbing and kissing my belly, this little babe has no shortage of love!
Will this be your last pregnancy?
I believe this sweet little one will be making our family complete.
Will you be sharing your favorite mama and baby must haves?
Yes! I try to keep the blog parallel to the life experiences I’m going through, and share what inspires me. Seeing as I launched Upstatemama after Felix was born, I have yet to post guides or favorites in that department. I couldn’t be more excited to share all of that with you this time around, so stay tuned! With that said, seeing as I am on my third pregnancy they will be more of minimal guides as feel I truly know what I need & what I don’t. I used everything from Elin for Felix since they were so close in age so it has been a while since I bought baby gear. There are so many new things out there, and I have been doing lots of research!
To start I will fill you in on my MUST have at all times for sleeping, this wedge pillow , life-changing. I have used it with each pregnancy and have to have it while “sleeping” after the first trimester. Fun fact, my sister and I send it back and forth to each other, it is the sisterhood of the traveling pregnant pillow.
I am truly trying to soak everything in this time around as I am fairly certain this will be my last pregnancy. As I type that there are so many mixed emotions, bittersweet for sure. I am excited to bring you along on this journey!
