I’m sure you all saw the beautiful fall family photos taken by Alyssa Flood Photography, which you can read about here or see on my Instagram. That same morning I had Alyssa do some maternity portraits as well as bump pictures with the kids which I will always hold dear to my heart. They are so excited for this baby’s arrival, it has been so much fun!
After frolicking in the field while Alyssa worked her magic, we decided to do a last minute second shoot location at my house. We caught up over a cup of coffee in my home that was not decent for guests by any means (imagine the tornado left behind by a family with two toddlers and a very pregnant mama scurrying off to a family shoot at sunrise). Then while the kids played Alyssa grabbed some shots of me in my dining room. It was such a beautiful morning with the light pouring in, they turned out so dreamy.
Alyssa had a natural way of making me feel comfortable and beautiful which is not an easy task when your subject is 30+ weeks pregnant ha!
Lastly, we headed to the back yard. I let the kids explore while Alyssa captured my last baby bump, so bittersweet. This dress was a dream in the beautiful fall foliage with sun shining through the trees. Being at home made these images even more special and intimate than I could have ever imagined.
As I shared earlier today, never think twice about booking maternity photos. It is such a beautiful and fleeting time that you will want to look back on.
