This year, lots of changes have happened around here in the bedrooms of our home to adjust with our growing family! Elin moved from a toddler bed to a big girl bed, Felix moved into a toddler bed, and with the new baby on the way our guest room is transitioning into a nursery! With all of these sleeping arrangement changes, I decided to make a healthier choice for my family and move forward with organic mattresses. After lots of research we went with the Signature Sleep Honest Line. This line is made from ethically sourced materials and hand crafted in the USA!
For Felix’s new toddler bed that he helped Daddy make (and could not be more obsessed with) we chose the Honest Blossom Natural Crib and Toddler Mattress.
It is made from GOT certified natural organic cotton, OEKO-TEX certified chemical free natural wool and OEKO-TEX certified coconut coir. The natural coconut coir construction, infused with natural latex makes it firm for safe and proper support. The natural materials are moisture wicking making them great temperature regulators. I love that the wool acts as a natural barrier and contains no fire retardants. The mattress comes with a waterproof mattress protector which is washer and dryer safe, this is KEY when it comes to a toddler/baby mattress! Kids grow out of toddler mattresses quickly so we plan on using this one for the new baby’s crib in the nursery when the time is right for everyone. Thank goodness it has a dual sided reversible construction which extends the life of the mattress!
Elin has the queen Signature Sleep Honest Elements 7″ Natural Wool Mattress with organic cotton and mico coils. This mattress has ethically sourced organic materials that include USDA certified organic cotton and OEKO-TEX certified chemical free natural wool. Again great for temperature regulation, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter! The mattress has independently encased micro coils which help provide optimal support and help eliminate motion transfer.
In our master bedroom we have the same one in the King size. Both of these mattresses come with a mattress protector with Allow Vera fibers that help add moisture to skin and speed up regeneration of the skins healing process! Huge bonus this mattress protector is also washer and dryer friendly just like the Honest Blossom Natural Crib mattress protector!
Over all we have slept on these mattresses for months, they are great quality and I go to bed knowing everyone is getting a safe, healthy and good nights rest!
