We recently took a trip to the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World! It was our first time as a family, and let me tell you, Disney is even more magical watching your children experience it! We spent our time at the Magic Kingdom as the kids are so young, and there is PLENTY to do there. Below I will cover our accommodations, as well as MK tips, logistics, and favorite rides/experiences for little ones!
Our stay
We partnered with the insanely gorgeous Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort during our time in Orlando. Here the magic never stops once you leave Walt Disney World! From the minute we arrived we were spoiled, the grounds and staff are unparalleled “they can make virtually anything happen.” Four Seasons Orlando is a Walt Disney World Resort allowing for convenient transportation, magic hours, character breakfast, in room celebrations, and merchandise delivery from the park!
We stayed in one of Four Seasons Orlando’s beautiful park view rooms where we were able to comfortably watch the Magic Kingdom Fireworks from our bed and balcony each night! They are sure to think of any and everything to make you feel comfortable, welcome, and special!
We truly enjoyed the 5 acre explorer island complete with an insane splash zone, lazy river, pools, and slides for all ages.
The gradually sloping 7,500+ sqft beach entry pool (complete with dive-in movies) and the Splash Zone were huge hits for us! You can read more about all of their amenities here!
There is also The Mansion complete with pool tables, table tennis, bocce ball and chess. Attached you will find the Hide Out where you have access to billiards, interactive tables and gaming for a rainy day!
On the grounds there is also an awesome playground, EV loved it.
For Dining the first evening we enjoyed In-room Dining after a long day at Disney which was perfect.
The next morning we experienced the Goofy and Friends Character breakfast (held at Ravello). This was so delicious, and the perfect balance of interactive yet relaxing! If staying at Four Seasons Orlando with children the Character breakfast is a must! Check out my Instagram Stories Highlight for videos!
Later that day we enjoyed a poolside PB&G lunch and cocktails, ending the day with dinner at Capa Bar on their sophisticated rooftop lounge. It is a great causal family atmosphere with a great view of the fireworks. The kids fell asleep in their stroller, and we enjoyed some after dinner drinks and dessert.
On out last day we went back to Ravello their regular breakfast, then enjoyed a perfect day by the pool and Splash Zone. Before our departure, we hit up Lickety Split for lunch. All places were extremely accommodating for families of young kids, have stellar food, and fun atmospheres!
You can never go wrong with a stay at a Four Seasons Resort, and we cannot wait for our next visit!
Magic Kingdom
thank you to Walt Disney World for providing us with courtesy tickets in exchange for an honest review.
Tips For Walt Disney World
Bring a stroller, and one that reclines back! We love this Jooy double stroller for travel. Felix took a great nap while at the park it was so convenient to have. We brought two bags, one with items we were not afraid to lose (kept that in the stroller), and one with important items. You can bring your own food and water. Pack A LOT of snacks and bring bottles to refill water.
Download the My Disney Experience app, and pick your fast passes ahead of time. If you have magic hours or early entry from a breakfast reservation use that time before the park is open to go on long wait rides, and use your fast passes for meeting princess. Also, be sure to use the app to order food ahead of time so it is ready to pick up when you get there. We used quick service with the app at Columbia Harbour House, it will save you SO much time!
For souvenirs we bought Disney Autograph books for the kids (which they loved), and personalized mouse ears that fold up nicely for travel seen here on my instagram. You can find the mouse ears at The Chapeau which is in the beginning when you come into the park! Having the merchandise delivery was great, we didn’t have to wait for them to get finished and they were delivered right to our room the next day!
If you are not staying at a resort with magic hours there is another way to get early access into Magic Kingdom! As soon as you can, make reservations at one of the following three Magic Kingdom restaurants; Be Our Guest, Cinderellas Royal Table, or Crystal Palace for early access to the parks!
Logistics
You can use Lyft “Minnie Van”to get to the parks it drops you right at the gates. I think it was $35, extremely worth it if your trying to make magic hours or a reservation. Be sure to choose the Minnie Van which is a service Disney provides, and it is oh so cute. The drivers are employed by Disney and very informative. Huge bonus, they automatically came with car seats! The Four Seasons Orlando does have a very convenient (free of charge) shuttle which brings you to TTC, were you then you take a short monorail to the parks.
Favorites
Our favorite family rides/experiences were Dumbo, Its a Small World, Under the Sea, The Carousel, Enchanted Tales with Bells Encounter, and of course meeting all of the Princesses! Be sure to check out my instagram story highlights for more pictures and videos!
I hope this is helpful to anyone going for the first time with their children. We tried to keep it as stress free as possible and went with the flow!
Stay posted for the second part of our trip where we visited my Grandparents in the Ocala/Crystal River area! What are you favorite things to do at Magic Kingdom?
xoxo,
Jenny
